It is an universal binary application so that it runs optimally both on PowerPC and Intel Macs.
The author tested BibCompanion with PowerBook G4/MacOS X 10.4.9.
BibCompanion contains English and Japanese language resources.
A language used by BibCompanion depends on International setting of the System Preferences.
A downloading file below is the same as that from a Japanese web page.
You will find a HTML file <README 1st-English.html> with an application file when you expand the downloaded zip archive.
Read this and agree with cautions before you use BibCompanion.

- BibCompanion stops with error in very rare cases on launch.
→ Launch the application again. Database file may not be broken by this error. At present, a cause of this problem is unknown.
- When a listed item of smart library for duplicated items search with manual update was edited and then deleted or the database was closed, another one of the duplicated pair remains in the duplicated list.
→ Update the smart library with [File - Update Smart Library] menu. Basically, contents of a manual updated smart library is not guaranteed to be correct except just after an update.
