Introduction to PlotDigitizer X

PlotDigitizer X is a software that can digitize plotted data on printed sheets, PDF files etc.

It supports variety of image file formats as Preview do such as PDF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG etc. It is equipped with a flexible axis setting functionality, so that it can digitize a deformed graph such as a trapezoidal distorted one. It also supports a graph in polar coordinate. There is no functionality of auto tracing, but it has a supporting function for manual tracing of line graph.

This software is mainly intended to get digital numbers from a graph on a paper, or to reformat an old graph. However, it is also possible to use for reading coordinates of experimental photographs etc. When you use other's data in your own paper, do not forget to refer the original paper.
